# Cancellation and Publication Controls

Traveler request publication cancellation is separate from closing applications and proceeding to payment.

## Cancel Publication

When a traveler cancels publication, the request status becomes cancelled. The request is removed from public request lists and guide application lists.

If the request already has an unpaid matching order, that unpaid order is also cancelled so that the traveler cannot accidentally pay for a cancelled publication.

## Publish a New Request

If the traveler wants to change the date, budget, destination, guide count, language, or request details, they should publish a new request instead of reopening the old one. This keeps guide applications and pricing expectations clean.

## Paid Orders

Paid or refunded matching orders should not be handled through simple publication cancellation. They require the relevant payment, refund, or customer support process.
